Moonlit Night on Spring River is a most famous traditional song of middle China. This recording was made in Nan-Jing for the sake of authenticity of style and technique. It was made in the Nan-Jing National Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, using the Five-Microphones sur-round sound method. The stereo tracks had the rear ambience channels mixed in. No effect of any kind was used. You can detect the reflections from the concrete walls and ceiling, as well as the sharp images of the nine musical instruments. Starting from the left
