1987年出生于北京的王羽佳，2001年获首届仙台国际音乐大赛钢琴组季军及评委会特别奖，2002年被美国柯蒂斯音乐学院（The Curtis Institute of Music）录取，师从钢琴教育家加里·格拉夫曼（Gary Graffman）。

2006年吉尔默年轻艺术家大奖（Gilmore Young Artist Award）

王羽佳在新一代华人钢琴家中以技巧高超著称，演奏风格大气而硬朗，曾在其私人Facebook页面上自称“an egocentric, shameless prima donna...have the possibility of turning to a geisha”（自我中心、不知廉耻的傲娇女王……有成为艺伎的潜质）。

2010年5月30日在德国巴登-巴登演出结束后的记者会上，有人问“古典音乐家以外，谁对你影响最大？”王羽佳回答：“Lady Gaga”

这张我有曲目都挺不错的，有《纺车旁的葛丽卿》，但王羽佳经常用的舒伯特另外一首返场曲《水上吟》没有收录
