On August 15, 1998, in the Large Festival Hall in Salzburg, the Vienna Philharmonic performed Mozart's Rondo for Violin and Orchestra, KV 373, Lorin Maazel's Music for Violin and Orchestra, op. 12, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B minor, op.74 ('Pathétique').
